Celebrating CiTi’s virtual graduations

Graduation is a time of elation and celebrating achievement. Over the past few months, the Cape Innovation and Technology Initiative has had the pleasure of hosting a series of virtual graduation programmes for several of its programmes.

Congrats are in order for several cohorts of passionate female entrepreneurs from our flagship programme, Top Tech Tools for Women in Business, who took to the virtual stage to celebrate their time in the programme. During the virtual session, the entrepreneurs shared their journeys and how they’re Making A Difference (MAD) a step at a time. For some of the cohorts, the entrepreneurs began the programme face-to-face then shifted to online when lockdown was implemented, while the rest of the cohorts were strictly online.

Congrats are also in order to the SMEs that graduated as part of the Innovator Trust programme. Throughout the programme, the participants, which included HashDataITneeds Pty Ltd and Complete IT received business and financial mentorship. They attended workshops including company valuation, understanding funding and fund sourcing. The main goal of the Innovator Trust is to transform the ICT sector by supporting black empowered SMEs to become sustainable, enterprise-focused businesses.
