Call for applications: Data Analytics Programme

Congratulations on taking the first step toward improving your existing knowledge and skills in data analytics. There are many opportunities for superstar problem solvers looking for an exciting career in data analytics, at no cost to you!

 

Upon successfully completing the full-time, 12-month programme, you will be eligible to attempt qualification in CompTIA Data+ or an alternative vendor qualification. The first 6 months will be spent on campus with CapaCiTi learning data concepts, and the following 6 months will be completed in a work placement applying your new skills.

 

This programme is designed to develop comprehensive data analytics skills, data visualization, descriptive analytics, and predictive data modeling to help you apply innovative data-driven business decisions in the workplace.

 

We want to equip you to start your career as a data analyst to place you at the forefront of digital transformation and help you shift your IT career forward.

Criteria for the programme include:

  • Complete and submit assessments and projects on time and to a high quality
  • The understanding of how to manipulate data
  • Data mining
  • Complete practical workplace activities
  • Being able to visualise and report on data
  • Data visualisation
  • Complete a workplace placement of 6 months
  • The ability to apply basic statistical methods
  • Data governance, quality, & controls
  • Develop your professional skills and work readiness
  • The skill to analyse complex datasets while adhering to governance and quality standards throughout the entire data life cycle

  • Professional skills, personal insight, interview readiness, and the confidence to build a career in IT

To apply, you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Able to provide your highest academic certificate
  • Have no criminal record and a clean credit history
  • Have a minimum NQF level 6 qualification, ideally with an IT focus
  • Either self-taught and/or had prior IT training if your qualification is not IT related
  • Be competent in current technologies and have the desire to follow a career in IT
  • South African nationality
  • Be between the age range of 18 to 35 years
  • Be under or unemployed at the time of application
  • Be able to attend full-time training Monday to Friday
  • Be able to commit to the full 12-month programme and committed to completing it
  • Be available for either of the following intakes: January 2023 or April 2023
