About Us

CAPACITI, a non-profit, transcends traditional digital training by inspiring and mentoring individuals to thrive in the digital world.

More About Us

Established in 2010, CAPACITI, part of the UVU Africa Group, is at the forefront of preparing young individuals for the tech sector. CAPACITI has emerged as one of South Africa’s leading digital talent accelerators, annually training and placing approximately 1000 unemployed youth. CAPACITI is dedicated to fostering the inclusive growth of the digital economy by creating a pipeline of future-fit, skilled individuals equipped with relevant digital skills aligned with industry demand. Since its inception, CAPACITI has been refining solutions that aim to economically integrate talent, by providing scalable digital skills training and preparing them for the evolving workplace of the future. As a non-profit organisation, CAPACITI leverages partner investments to deliver demand-driven, targeted technical training that positively impacts lives.

Mission

CAPACITI aims to democratize tech careers and foster inclusive societies in Africa, viewing quality education as essential for a diverse and growing digital economy.

Vision

We aim to empower digitally marginalized youth with technical skills and work readiness, focusing on meaningful career opportunities beyond just job acquisition.

Ethos

CAPACITI prioritizes respect and excellence, offering specialized training for a future-ready workforce and creating opportunities in the digital economy through constant innovation.

Our "Why"

Millions of unemployed South Africans struggle to adapt to fast-evolving technology, leading to a skills mismatch that exacerbates job vacancies and perpetuates poverty.

What Sets Us Apart

At CAPACITI, we prioritize a holistic approach, focusing on both technical and essential life skills, offering personalized mentorship, and aiding in job applications and placements, all to empower individuals for career success in a comprehensive, supportive learning environment.

Engaging with youth in our tech talent development programme has been eye-opening. They are resilient and adaptable with a hunger for knowledge. Working alongside them has reaffirmed my belief in the power of mentorship and collaboration to drive meaningful change in our industry.

Ziaad Suleman, Chief Commercial Officer, iOCO, EOH Group

Whilst technical knowledge and skills are what CAPACITI teaches, it is ultimately the way in which the programme is delivered and how each individual is empowered, which results in the quality of outcome.
