This programme creates a supportive and growth environment for women, who would like to utilise technology within their businesses. This programme will expose them to the latest technology tools available, to enhance and grow their business.
Benefits to participant
The entrepreneurs benefit from the extensive knowledge and expertise gained from highly skilled facilitators and mentors. The programme provides entrepreneurs with a platform to implement effective systems and processes through the deployment of tech products and services that enable growth, sustainability and the room to scale.
Online component comprises of a further 10 modules which are completed over a 10-month period
Group mentoring sessions will take place for 10 months post programme. The topics will tie into the monthly online programme
Selection criteria
100% Female founders and CEOs
Business must be registered (CIPC)
Business must be operational for at least 18 months
Ages: between 25 and 50
Location: must also be based in Western Cape, from these areas: City Bowl, and Southern Suburbs, Northern Suburbs, False Bay and Bellville Metropole
Have at least one staff member employed by their business and be available to attend weekly workshops every;
Tuesday morning (Cohort 1) Thursday morning (Cohort 2) for the duration of 10 weeks Physical workshops (February–April 2020)
Be available once a month for online support and once a month for mentorship sessions for a duration of the 10 months starting in May 2020. (May 2020–March 2021)
Must have a desire to learn and introduce technology into their business.
How to apply
Female entrepreneurs who would like to take part in the Women in Business programme must submit their applications on the Cape Innovation & Technology Initiative’s website www.citi.org.za or like and follow the Cape Innovation & Technology Facebook page for news and updates. After your application is received, you will be invited to a telephonic or/and an in-person interview, which will determine if you are selected to take part in the programme. APPLY NOW.
