Youth in Business graduates visited by Alderman James Vos, the Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth

Graduates of the Youth in Business Programme were visited by Alderman James Vos, the Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth in March 2024. The Youth in Business programme is a part of the entrepreneur development arm of UVU Africa, and is conducted at the Khayelitsha Bandwidth Barn. With a focus on businesses operating in the township economy, the Youth in Business programme aims to equip entrepreneurs with the top tech tools to achieve business growth.

‘Both Mxhamli at Eezy Technologies and Siphokuhle at Mcotshana Holdings took full advantage of their learnings in the programme and are using it to better their communities. Eezy Technologies now employs three people while 25 people work for Mcotshana Holdings. This underscores the importance of supporting entrepreneurs with the necessary skills and knowledge resources because their success means growth and that they can employ others,’ said Alderman Vos.
