About the programme

This Advanced Technical Academy is a year-long programme aimed at equipping young tech professionals with the skills required to succeed in the digital economy. It begins with 6 months of intensive and immersive training in our Braamfontein Accelerator, where candidates are streamed into career-specific tracks such as DevOps, Java, and Data Analytics. Following this, candidates will participate in a 6-month internship with a CAPACITI corporate partner, allowing them to apply the skills they developed during their training.

Delivery Modality

Campus based experiential learning and training as workplace simulation. Candidates collaborate and complete workplace activities like problem solving, business communication and complete and submit practical assessments, projects and examination of work undertaken. The training element of the course is delivered over a minimum period of 6 months, supported by extensive job and career critical skills training.

Academic and Qualification Requirements

  • NQF Level 6 or higher qualification in an IT specialised stream.
  • Completed qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Cyber Security and other tech domain specific qualifications.
  • Be able to provide your certificate of highest academic achievement.

 

Personal and Eligibility Criteria

  • Have no criminal record and a clean credit history
    South African nationality
  • Be under or unemployed at the time of application
  • Able to attend full-time training Monday to Friday
  • Able to commit to the full 12-month programme and committed to completing it
  • Be available from September 2024
