Delivery Modality

The programme will be conducted primarily online/virtually. Active engagement in the programme is mandatory, and all sessions will be conducted in English. Participants must have access to a device for online workshops via Zoom. Additionally, participants are expected to complete surveys, assessments as needed, and online platform modules.
All workshops will be conducted in English.

 

 

Recruitment & Selection Criteria

  • Female founders and CEOs with a desire to introduce or improve technology and increase business acumen skills in their businesses (at least 51% female-owned).
  • Must be engaged in a full-time in business.
  • Business must be registered (CIPC) and operational for a minimum of 6-12 months.
  • Businesses are required to furnish the following documents: Company Business Documents, a valid BBBEE affidavit, and a certified copy of your Identity document (issued within the last 3 months).
  • Applicants must be 21 years or older.
  • Be available to join one online workshop per week (2 hours) for the duration of the 10-week programme.
  • On completion of the 10-week modular online programme, be available once a month for online group coaching sessions over a period of 10 months.
  • Where possible, workshops are held at both our Salt River and Khayelitsha, Braamfontein venues.
  • An online platform will be utilised to deliver components of the programme. If face-to-face workshops are required, successful applicants must be able to travel to one of the specified venues.

Sector Requirements

Businesses from various sectors are encouraged to apply, including automotive services (e.g., auto body repairers, motor traders), construction and building (e.g., building contractors, carpet and flooring), claims management, security and electronics (e.g., electronic security), as well as miscellaneous areas such as audiovisual and solar heating sales & installations.

Business Criteria

  • Business must be registered (CIPC) and operational for a minimum of 6-12 months.
  • Must not be part of any other incubation / acceleration programme.
  • Own device, data, and a reliable/stable internet connection.
  • Comfortable with remote teamwork, collaboration and using digital tools.

Theory Based Workshops

Hybrid, interactive theory-based workshops covering key entrepreneurial concepts such as Digital Marketing.

Mentorship

Combination of group coaching sessions as well as one-on-one sessions with a dedicated mentor.

Online Learning Platform

Access to an online learning platform, with continuous access to personalised resources for knowledge enhancement.
