External/third party service providers
According to the Protection of Personal Information Act (“POPIA”), all third parties and service providers to UVU Africa NPC (“UVU Africa”) are required to ensure that all information pertaining to UVU Africa’s stakeholders (clients, partners, staff, visitors, service provider platform users, and directors) in their possession is secured. UVU Africa must be satisfied that you have taken all adequate and necessary steps in protecting all data and information of UVU Africa.
In this regard, you agree/undertake to the following:
to keep UVU Africa and its stakeholders’ information confidential, report on all data leaks, and not process any information or circumvent or contact any UVU Africa stakeholder without UVU Africa’s express prior consent;
to be responsible for the electronic information system security of all electronic files and data where UVU Africa and its stakeholders’ information is in your possession;
if necessary, you may be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Confidentiality Agreement and /or other commercial agreement in order to ensure compliance with POPIA.
All protection and security of information must be in compliance with the guidelines set out in terms of POPIA.”
Online subscriptions

Guests at our in-person or online events
- By attending our event, you consent to the lawful processing of your personal information as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act, No. 4 of 2013 and in accordance thereto by UVU Africa NPC for the purposes of (i) managing event attendance; (ii) sending you event-related information and updates; (iii) using photographs and videos taken during the event for public relations, marketing, and promotional purposes; (iv) providing you with information about our products and services; (v) improving our service offerings; as well as (vi) complying with legal and statutory requirements (the “Purpose”).
- By proceeding to attend our event, you agree that you have read and understood this declaration and the Purpose for which your personal information is required. Furthermore, you acknowledge that your consent is effective immediately and will remain effective until such consent is withdrawn, and such withdrawal is communicated effectively.
Guests visiting our premises
