Good News: Unique Summit 2024 Comes to Cape Town

It’s an exciting time for innovators, investors, policymakers, and startup ecosystem builders because the highly anticipated and globally recognised event Unique Summit 2024, will be taking place November 18 and 19, 2024. The summit provides a platform for global partnerships and discussions around investment in high-growth sectors like climate tech and biotechnology. 

This will be the first time the Unique Summit is held on the African continent, Cape Town is proud to be the host as a leading hub for global innovation and startup collaboration. The Unique Summit is an invitation only event and the flagship of the Global StartupCities Initiative, a network that connects startup ecosystems across continents to drive economic growth through innovation and cross-border collaboration.   

The theme for this year, “Transforming Investment,” emphasizes the importance of innovative funding models and co-investment opportunities to scale entrepreneurship on a global level. 

This year’s summit is hosted by StartupCity Cape Town, one of the first African cities to join the Global StartupCities Initiative and is convened by UVU Africa, a non-profit organisation with 25 years of experience in driving inclusive economic growth in Africa.  

Event partners include major players in the local and global ecosystem, such as GIIG, Global Startup Awards (GSA) Africa, UVU Bio, Wesgro, City of Cape Town, SKEG, GreenCape, Specno, Savant, Co.Lab, Innovation City and many others.
